Blackpool Council logoLCDL is Lancashire County Council's economic development company, providing all the economic development services of Lancashire County Council. It is owned by the people of Lancashire for the benefit of Lancashire and its profits are ploughed back to help sow the seeds of success for small and medium sized businesses, disadvantaged individuals and community projects.

LDCL is a co-funder of the Resource Efficiency Centre project.

Blackpool Council

Blackpool Council logoThe Resource Efficiency Centre project was originally set up with funding from Blackpool Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It was based at the Council's Solaris Centre, which was designed to be an example of best practice in the construction, maintenance and management of environmentally sustainable buildings. It was the winner of the 'Local Government Chronicle' Environment Award and the 2006 North West Sustainability Award from 'The Royal Institute Of Charter Surveyors'.

NIMTECH

Nimtech logoNIMTECH is a not for profit business support organisation that was launched as the North West Regional Technology Centre in 1986. Since then, it has been responsible for the development, management and delivery of many publicly funded environmental and economic development programmes. In addition to the REC project, NIMTECH is also working with Blackpool Council on the EMPRISE project, and with other partners such as the University of Central Lancashire and North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.

LA Serve

LA Serve logoLA Serve is a private sector partner whose role in the REC project is to help develop an online directory of environmental technology suppliers within the North West. With considerable expertise in website design and marketing, LA Serve is ideally placed to help the project team to develop a sophisticated internet-based guide to the region's environmental product and service providers.

LEE Engineering logoLee Engineering is a complete system design, engineering and installation services company, working in the field of light, sound and vision. It acts as a consultant to lighting architects and designers and is working with the REC programme to help demonstrate the potential energy saving applications of modern lighting technologies.
