Resource Efficiency Centre

The Resource Efficiency Centre Project

The Resource Efficiency Centre project began in January 2007 and will run until September 2008. It is based at the Solaris Centre on Blackpool's New South Promenade, where many sustainable technologies are on public display. The project operates throughout North and Western Lancashire and can provide free assistance to eligible businesses.

To be eligible, your business must be defined as a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) and must be based in an area that is supported by ERDF Objective 2 funding. To check the various criteria, please click here.

For all eligible businesses, the REC project will pay for an individual site visit and environmental audit to identify opportunities to reduce waste and make cost savings. Please refer to our Services page for more details about the many forms of support available from the Resource Efficiency Centre.

In recent years, while working on similar publicly funded programmes, the project partners have assisted many hundreds of businesses in the North West region, enabling them to make collective savings of several million pounds.
